How long is the Wolves' season? The boys regular season, including end of season varsity tournaments, normally runs from August through October. The girls' season begins mid-February and will end with the State tournament at the beginning of May.

What type of competition do the teams play against? We play against other homeschool clubs in the area, as well as local private and Christian schools. We design our seasons to challenge our athletes and give them opportunities to grow throughout the season.

Where do Wolves' teams practice and play games (how far do we travel)? We rent practice fields in Apex and at times Raleigh. The majority of practices are at Pleasant Park in Apex, with some at other local fields. The majority of our home games are played at Middle Creek in Apex. Most of our away games are played in Triangle area. Generally, our away matches are within 1.5 hours of Raleigh (places like Fayetteville, Wilmington, Greensboro, etc.). Carpooling is common. TeamSnap is used for communication to help families coordinate carpools for both practices and competitions.

Do the Wolves play in tournaments? Our boys Varsity team will compete in the NCHEAC State tournament at the end of each season. They will also compete at Nationals (NHSC) each fall. Our girls Varsity team competes in State and one additional tournament mid-season.

How often do the teams practice and how many games are played? Practices begin the first week of August for all boys teams and runs through mid-October. The girls begin mid-February and end the end of April. Practice is five days a week for the first two weeks and then 2-3 times a week after that depending on the game schedule. The boys varsity team will play approximately 15 regular season games in addition to State Tournament and Nationals. JV and middle school boys will play approx. 10 games. Girls will play 10-12 games in addition to tournaments.

What is required to participate? After athletes are offered a position on a team roster, they must formally register. Each team member needs shin guards, soccer cleats, a soccer ball, and a great attitude. Team members will also need to purchase a uniform kit. Each family is asked to volunteer for responsibilities that support each athlete who is rostered.

What is the skill level (and will my child fit in)? All male soccer players grades 6-12 are welcome! The skill level of our club and the teams we play against vary. Our Varsity team includes many high level club players. Some of our Junior Varsity and Middle School players have club and recreational soccer experience. Our girls also play at a club and recreational level. We welcome all skill levels. It is our goal to help players connect relationally, have fun, and develop as athletes and young men and women. We aim for an excellent athlete experience.
